{"id":2324,"date":"2024-02-01T08:42:22","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T08:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/livingstones.blog\/?p=2324"},"modified":"2024-02-01T08:42:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T08:42:22","slug":"thursday-1-february-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/livingstones.uk\/?p=2324","title":{"rendered":"Thursday 1 February 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Friends, roamers and warriors,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is not by accident that we Living Stones find ourselves standing today, surrounded on all sides by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>corruption in high &#8211; and low &#8211; places,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rule-breaking in the thirst for recognition,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>statute-bending in the lust for riches,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sticking-plaster \u2018government eroding democracy\u2019<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronic short-cuts to \u2018tick-the-box\u2019 fake contracts,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>black-unformed \u2018jack-boot\u2019 bullying of the timid,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">simply for daring to think for ourselves??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have heard the call: we must challenge that \u2018<strong>carnal spirit of death\u2019<\/strong> which is going around like a roaring lion, looking for victims to devour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having just listened to the 30-minute presentation by Gary Kent \u2013 follow the link below &#8211; we\u2019re asking ourselves the question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u2018Do we believe we\u2019ve landed here on this planet by fluke, by lust, by accident, or are here destined to be walking in tune with the spirit of the eternal planner\u2019?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If all the energy within us resonates with that spirit, we will hear the still small voice inside us, challenging us with the cost of true commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dietrich Bonhoeffer: A Story of Courage and Faith\" width=\"825\" height=\"464\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bCqk-vG31wI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We keep coming back to the well-worn mantra of the \u2018Rastafarian\u2019 faith \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u2018those who are in earnest are not afraid of consequences\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having actually lived for a while in the German capital, this particularly strikes home to us. Our temporary address at that time was in the Bonhoeffer Ufer, which is a side road off the Tegeler Weg in B-Charlottenburg..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All we ask you to do, as you listen to, and view, Gary Kent\u2019s presentation is to substitute the two initials &#8211; <strong>KS<\/strong> &#8211; for \u2013 <strong>AH<\/strong>.
